We asked our digital team to share how they became part of Orxata, what inspires them now, and which piece of jewelry holds a special place in their heart. These stories define Orxata as much as the design and details do.

“I came into Orxata in a very natural way — I’ve known Olena, the founder, since school. She’s the sister of my best friend. During the COVID period, I lost my job, and one day I saw on her Stories that she was looking for a manager. A few days later, I joined the team — and I’ve been here for four years now.

What inspires me most is growing together: I feel like as the brand grows, I grow too. Orxata becomes stronger and more confident with each passing year, and that energy fuels my work every day. There’s a kind of magic here — the feeling that you’re part of something real, meaningful, beautiful.

“I've always been drawn to unique, unconventional jewelry. As a child, I often made pieces myself — wearing them proudly or gifting them to friends. So when I discovered Orxata, explored its philosophy, and saw the one-of-a-kind transformable pieces, I immediately knew: this is where I want to be. To belong to the process, to express myself here, and to be inspired by the creativity and meaning infused into every piece.

Whenever I go somewhere in our jewelry, I get a lot of compliments and am happy to share the website and Instagram with the girls. However, my favorite piece is the Sol transforming cuff-ring, my first piece of jewelry from the brand, which the team gave me as a birthday present. It was the first touch to an impressive jewelry invention, which resulted in a real love for Orxata and even deeper understanding of what we do.”

And here’s what Olena Kucherniuk, the founder of Orxata, shared with us:

“Five years ago, Orxata had no business plan, no startup capital — just an idea to create functional jewelry and a desire to do things differently.

I ordered chains and tools for $200 and handcrafted the very first body chain-necklaces myself — right at my living room table. I photographed them on my friends and posted to Instagram. No jewelers, no photographers, no content creators, no sales team. It took all my time and energy, but it felt so natural and exciting that I still look back on it with a smile.

Over the years, our collection has grown: from body chains and necklaces to transforming jewelry in all kinds of forms and constructions. By the way, the cuff-necklace — a piece you can wear on your ear or around your neck by adjusting and fixing its shape — is my own invention. At the time, I couldn’t find anything like it in any other brand. A small, but deeply personal, reason to feel proud. :)

Our team keeps evolving — both in size and quality. It’s still small, but just like our jewelry, it’s multifunctional. :)

I truly believe that in these five years, Orxata has become one of the most distinctive jewelry brands in Ukraine. And my dream for the next five? For the world to hear our voice — loud and clear — and for us to make a real quantum leap.”
